bcc software package provides 16-bit x86 C compiler, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bcc
bcc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bcc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bcc *
You will get with bcc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
